How it works?
- An email system uses a client and a mail server for sending and fetching mails. A mail that you send from your client, goes in your server’s outbox and from there to the recipient. The recipient server’s inbox receives the mail and the recipient reads the mail after signing in to the client.
- The email domain in an email address identifies the organisation’s email server. The server sends mails only for its created users, meaning other email domain users cannot send mails from an organisation’s mail server.
- Mail2SMS has domains of customers mapped on its mail server. Hence, they can send emails from this server. An email gateway configures or maps the domains on the mail or SMTP server. The Mail2SMS application residing on the SMTP server converts the mail it receives into an SMS text message. The application then sends the message to Route Mobile’s messaging platform for end-user delivery.
